Replacement Reeds for Diffusers

It's more eco-friendly to refill your reed diffuser bottle and use it again, so we offer Reed Diffuser Refills and replacement reeds for diffusers.  Our 50ml Reed Diffuser starter kits are supplied with 10 natural rattan reeds.  We usually advise customers to only use 3-4 reeds at a time, but for a stronger aroma you can use more more reeds at a time (but remember they'll draw up the reed diffuser oil more quickly so this is less cost effective).  We think 3-4 reeds is enough for an average sized room, if you're happy with a subtle background aroma.  After a while, you will find that natural rattan reeds will become clogged with the reed diffuser oil.  Rattan diffuser reeds have hollow tubes inside them (they work by capillary action drawing the oil up the rattan reed) but slowly the mini tubes become full of reed diffuser oil.  If you notice that your room isn't as fragrant as before but you still have oil in your reed bottle, it simply means your reeds have become clogged.  Rattan reeds are bio-degradable, so simply replace them with some fresh reeds and your diffuser will start to diffuse the fragrance again.  

Replacement Reeds for Diffusers:

10 x Natural colour short rattan reeds - 17 cm, shorter length - these are the reeds that are supplied in our standard kits.  We think they are too short for the art glass diffuser bottles.

10 x Natural colour long rattan reeds - 22cm, longer and more elegant - these are the reeds that are supplied in our Deluxe Kits.

10 x Black long rattan reeds* - 22cm, sophisticated and elegant - these are the reeds that are supplied in our Deluxe Kits. 

* With the longer black reeds, you may find that some of the ends may be slightly curved because they have been dyed, but this won't affect how they work and they may curve out from the bottle in a prettier arrangement.

10 x curly reeds (they are approximately 24cm long)

10 x Superior Rattan Reeds - 25cm x 4mm wide natural rattan reeds available in black or natural (cream) colours.  These wider natural rattan reeds diffuse the reed oil more effectively than our standard reeds.  These longer reeds look more elegant and the wider width makes them look more up market than our standard reeds.  We recommend these for the art glass reed diffuser bottles. 

10 x Fibre Reeds - these longer length 25cm synthetic reeds are available in two colours:  black or natural (cream) and are designed to last longer than a natural rattan reed.  They are made from a PET filament, and have a porous structure to wick and diffuse fragrance at a controlled rate.  These 3.5mm wide reeds tend to be sold with high-end reed diffuser brands since they are engineered not to clog and do not require regular flipping.   We recommend these for the art glass reed diffuser bottles.

Sola Flower Diffuser Reeds

These flower diffuser reeds are handmade from the tapioca plant, so are bio-degradable and from a sustainable source.   Adding the odd flower reed to your diffuser makes the bottle look more elegant and decorative.  Each flower is made by hand, and is then attached to a natural coloured rattan reed.  The reed will draw up the reed oil, and the flower may change colour if it's placed in a coloured diffuser oil.  Sola flower diffuser reeds can be left in the reed diffuser bottle indefinitely, since the other rattan reeds will diffuse the fragrance even if the natural flower diffuser reed becomes clogged.

Sola flower diffuser reeds are priced for a single flower, choose from:

Lily  - 3 x 4 cm flower, on a 23cm long reed

Rose - 4 x 5.5cm flower on a 23cm long reed

Carnation - 2.5cm x 6cm flower on a 23cm long reed

Sola flower diffuser reeds will be dispatched wrapped in tissue paper, with a protective tube of cardboard around the flower head to ensure they are not crushed.
