These are lovely elasticated bracelets, so will fit most wrist sizes and are comfortable to wear.  Each bracelet is supplied in a small organza pouch.  

The bracelets are made from black lava beads, and these have a pitted surface with small holes.  There are seven coloured beads which are natural gemstones that include carnelian, tiger's eye, amethyst and green aventurine (designs will vary).  Because these are natural crystals there will be colour variations and inclusions in each bead so each bracelet is unique.  Each bracelet also has a charm - either an elephant or a buddha.

Lava bead bracelets are lovely pieces of jewellery but they may also be used for aromatherapy.  The black lava beads can be anointed with a drop or two of essential oil.  This allows you to enjoy a lovely aromatherapy fragrance throughout the day, and may help you to feel calm or uplifted depending on which oil is used.  Simply drip a drop or two of your favourite essential oil onto the black lava beads, and rub in with a tissue.  We'd advise that you select your essential oils carefully, adding only 1 or 2 drops of the gentlest, skin-kind essential oils to avoid any chance of skin irritation.  Make sure you do not add the essential oils to the gemstone beads since they may become dull, and try to avoid adding too many drops of essential oil to your bracelet at a time since over time this may weaken the elastic. 

We think these bracelets are a nice way to enjoy the more expensive essential oils, since you'll be able to detect their aroma while you're wearing your bracelet - like wearing a natural perfume.  Our favourite blend is to add a drop of Neroli with Sandalwood.  Rose is a luxurious treat too.  For a more earthy, grounding effect then gentle Patchouli with Geranium Bourbon would be a nice choice, and for feelings of calm then perhaps try Lavender with Geranium Bourbon or Bergamot.  A bright uplifting blend might be Sweet Orange with Grapefruit, but as you can see these bracelets allow you to experiment with essential oil blends until you find the right one for you.   You'll find that the aroma lingers on the bracelet or a day or so (it will depend on the strength and quality of the essential oils that you use), and you can change over the essential oil blend to suit your mood.
