We now stock Excelsior Swift-Lite Charcoal quick lighting charcoal discs for burning resin incense.
Swift-Lite were established in England in 1957.
These are wrapped in air tight silver foil packaging and are packs of 10 discs / tablets.
To use, place the disc in a burner or in a heat proof container (an old plant pot filled with soil, or a container filled with salt would be suitable). Light the disc as you would light a barbecue coal with a match or lighter. You may see a faint flicker/spark pass across the coal, as it ignites. Leave the coal for several minutes and it will slowly glow and then turn grey (just like a barbecue coal). Once it's got a powdery grey covering you can now add a small amount of incense resin to release the fragrance.
It is very easy to scorch resin incenses, so we recommend that you create a small disc of foil - like a milk bottle foil top. Carefully place this on the glowing coal and then add the incense resin to the foil - it will allow the incense to melt without burning. You will enjoy a purer fragrance if you're patient in this way.
Once the disc has finished burning (they can last up to an hour) allow it to completely cool, before disposing of the ashes.
Suitable to use with one of our Resin Incenses.
